Hospital Dental Assistant, Wairau Hospital, Fixed term 6 months This is an exciting opportunity to join our small friendly team at Wairau Hospital Dental Dept. Its a diverse role covering theatre and clinic, providing a wide range of treatment on all ages. Our Hospital Dentists work 1:1 with our Dental Assistants.

About the Role As a Hospital Dental Assistant , you will provide chairside assistance, including setup and clean-up, for our clinicians working to improve the oral health of all Youll also process dental radiographs and provide administrative support to the clinics. We have one fixed term position available working 2 days per week at Wairau Hospital for 6 months .

Our usual clinic hours of work are 8.00AM and 5.00PM Monday to Friday.

Youll be rostered on a rotation of these days: Week 1: Thursday & Friday, Week 2: Monday & Wednesday, Week 3: Thursday & Friday Week 4: Monday & Friday. About the Team/Service/ Location Our team of 3 Dentists provide relief of pain care, oral surgery, pathology & general dentistry. For more information on living and working in Blenheim click here About you As a Hospital Dental Assistant, you will entail: Previous dental experience essential.

a good standard of oral and written communication (minimum of Year 11 NCEA English and Maths or equivalent) and, if not previously attained, you will be prepared to undertake the NZQA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Dental Assistance) which is to be completed within 2 years of commencement in the role.
